About the Hubble Space Telescope
In 1962, the American National Academy of Sciences recommends to build a giant space telescopes. Three years later, in 1977, Congress began to raise funds for the project. In the same year, making Hubble Space Telescope begin.
Hubble telescope construction was completed in 1985. Hubble was flown for the first time on April 25, 1990. In fact, Hubble is planned to start operation in 1986. However, its operation suspended temporarily due to the disaster Space Shuttle Challenger aircraft. A few years after the operation, Hubble sends blurry images and unclear. NASA eventually discovered that the lens on the telescope is shifted as much as 1 / 50 the thickness of human hair! In December 1993, the Space Shuttle Endeavor, was sent to modify the Hubble by adding a new camera to fix an error in the primary lens.
